Monte ALBers BIOGRAPHY
|
Born in 1977 to a Guatemalan immigrant mother and a blue-collar Texan father, Monte was raised in the rural hills near Napa, California. He left home at 18 to attend Claremont McKenna College, later earning a law degree from Harvard and a master’s degree in real estate from NYU. After a decade in big law and 12 years running his own practice, a late-night philosophical debate sparked the idea for his first screenplay, Good, marking an unexpected but fulfilling career shift. Today, Monte focuses on writing while enjoying family life as a husband and father of two. He also maintains close ties to his family’s olive oil business and spends summers in the Hamptons, embracing both his entrepreneurial and creative pursuits.
