Where do you live (City, State, or Country)? Kihei, Maui¿ Hawaii
Your script stood out among hundreds of others. What was the inspiration for your story and why did you write a script instead of a short story or a novel? The inspiration came from a dream I had, that showed me the future of this world. I wrote it as a script or screenplay, to have it be made into a movie.
How long did it take you to write your script...and what is your writing process? Do you outline...use index cards...white board...or just start with FADE IN? It took three months to write. I then received feedback from a department head at Disney Studios. After four rewrites, he then gave me the go ahead to submit this screenplay to studios and producers.
What is your ultimate ambition as a writer? To have my screenplays made into movies. And to have my fantasy-adventure novels to also be made into movies.
Was your entry at The Wiki Screenplay Contest a full script or “the first ten pages”? Why did you make that choice? Full script. In order to give the reader the full picture.
What’s your all-time favorite movie or television show...and why? The Great Escape. Because it was a true story.
What advice do you have for writers hoping to win a contest or place as a finalist as you have? Work hard, think it through thoroughly and get it out there.
