Why not write a novel or short story? 
I am more comfortable with the screenplay format.  Also, as a performing artist, screenplay writing is a better fit for me.

Do I create an index or story boards before writing a screenplay?  No, because I want that sense of discovery as I’m writing.  It’s fun when a character does something that I never anticipated.

What are my goals for this screenplay? 
I want to find a business partner, with significant industry experience, to form an LLC with me for Jimi, Janis and Jim Must Die, co-produce the screenplay and raise money with me.  My ultimate goal is for this screenplay to be made into a movie and for the movie to be distributed so that people can see it.
