Gary DeMoss - Biography

Gary DeMoss began his career in television and motion pictures founding Paradise Productions, Inc. a worldwide field production company specializing in on-location film production for network, cable and commercial clients around the world. As a DP Mr. DeMoss produced commercials for GEICO, USA Today and McDonalds.
In the area of content development primarily for home video Mr. DeMoss was a pioneer in this arena, producing dozens of award-winning programs as a Producer/Director and as a Shareholder and Board Member with Acorn Media Group since its formation in 1985 until 2001. Acorn was acquired in 2009 for $50M now a recognized Cable Channel offering award-winning British Drama.
As a Producer and VP of Business & Program Development for Atlantic Video, Inc. he supervised the top two daily shows for ESPN; “Around the Horn” and “Pardon the Interruption”.
As a screenwriter, Mr. DeMoss has penned several screenplays and two TV series pilots, one entitled “Deep Creek” which are profiled on national screenwriter sites: InkTip, Coverfly, and Film Freeway.
“Black Moon Rising” tells the true story of the Osage Indians in Oklahoma. “Ultimate
Control” is inspired by the disappearance of the ill-fated Malaysian Airlines flight MH-370.
“The Cage” is based on the true story of 2nd Lieutenant Fred Eller, the Commander of a notorious WWII POW camp.
Mr. DeMoss is not a published screenwriter. However, he has received dozens of accolades for his screenplays, including four accolades for the Deep Creek Series and four accolades for his screenplay The Cage.
The Cage was a winner at the 2024 Worldfest Houston International Film Festival, where Mr. DeMoss received a Platinum Remi Award. A Finalist of the Wiki Screenwriting Contest, The Cage was also a Semi Finalist at the Los Angeles International Screenplay Contest, and he was selected at the Berlin International Screenplay Awards and the Oxford Screenplay Awards.
